Position Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen in Leeds for an enthusiastic individual to join a major consultancy. We are currently looking for an experienced water Engineer to start asap, the opportunity is based in a vibrant Leeds office where parking is available and is close to the train station for commuters.
We are looking for an engineer who has had a minimum of 5 years experience in the water industry/environment and has worked in clean water, disposal of waste water and sewage, and prevention of flood damage.
Diversity is needed in this role as a water engineer is expected to undertake a range of activities, including both technical and non-technical tasks. E.G
Designing overall schemes, such as sewer improvement schemes, flood defense programmers, and associated structures, such as pumping stations, pipe work, and earthworks. Preparing tender documents as a basis for construction, reviewing technical submissions, liaising with various bodies and individuals including local authorities, government agencies, clients, contractors, residents, suppliers, technical experts and other consultants, controlling budgets at project level, managing staff, including other engineers, technicians, and site workers.
