The Position:
An individual is required to join an existing design/technical team, with good sound technical knowledge built up over a continued uninterrupted career within the building construction industry. It may be this individual has a leaning towards shopfitting related work, but must have several years experience working in a CAD drawing office environment. Other than good drawing production skills, it is envisaged the individual will have gained experience in most areas associated with the job title. These areas will include carrying out detailed site measure surveys, preparing specifications, communicating with clients, contractors and other professionals etc.

The Role:
To control the day to day production of drawings and associated information fora diverse cross section of clients; To evaluate prioritise and monitor incoming drawing information and issue to others; To monitor and improve the accuracy, technical content and presentation of all technical drawing information issued by CWD, including compiling and controlling drawing issue registers; To improve and maintain the efficiency of drawing information production within CWD; To work in close communication with the Project Manager, to whom the position is directly responsible; To work closely with the CAD manager to develop the change over from Microstation to the newly introduced AutoCad LT; To disseminate and develop technical knowledge and experience to those less experienced members of the team;

The Individual:
The individual must display good communication and inter personnel skills and would be expected to be on an equal footing with other members of the design and technical staff. Although CWD have a recognised staff structure, there is a genuine policy of equality, as each member of staff brings with them their own individual qualities and areas of experience. Therefore, the individual must be of sufficient maturity, character and intelligence to integrate into this existing structure.
