Position Description:
Main purpose of job:
Working alongside the Inventory Controller, you will assist in the purchase of products from approved suppliers, to ensure that stocks are maintained at an appropriate level in order to meet customer requirements.
Duties and responsibilities:
 To negotiate and agree quantities, quality and delivery schedule of products purchased from suppliers to ensure minimum stocks are maintained and customer orders fulfilled.
 Implement and control the Company stock control policy
 Implement and control the stock rotation policy
 Implement the Company Quality Assurance recall procedure in order to ensure products not fit for human consumption are not consumed.
 Prepare and present statistics and factual information relating to the purchasing function for Head office use.
 To monitor and report the performance of suppliers against Company expectations in order that appropriate action can be taken in the case of non-compliance.
