Position Description:
A) Management of all personnel employed on the hygiene team throughout their shift and that the charge hands are properly briefed on their daily tasks.
B) Ensuring that all staff is properly dressed in accordance with the company dress codes prior to the commencement of their shift.
C) Ensure that all staff have the required chemicals and equipment to complete all tasks required by the cleaning schedules and in accordance with the cleaning instruction
D) Conduct a pre clean inspection prior to cleaning operatives commencing work in each department and record any issues. Ensure all equipment is dismantled prior to cleaning commencing as far as is reasonably practicable.
E) Conduct regular checks of cleaning procedures with hygiene team members in each department and advise accordingly.
F) Fully acquaint yourself with all cleaning instruction cards and schedules for all departments, to ensure the operatives are following the instructions given.
G) Fill in periods of absence for the Hygiene Manager to ensure that administration and procedures are maintained.
H) Play an active role in departments to ensure that on the job training is provided and properly delivered and understood.
I) Ensure the staff store all chemicals and cleaning equipment away at the end of shift in to the chemical store or cage.
J) Conduct a routine check of all departments once all cleaning has been completed to ensure standards and that the departments are left tidy.

Skills / Experience

A minimum of one year’s experience.
Knowledge of experience of industrial deep cleaning procedures.
Supervisory skills.
COSHH experience in handling and the use of chemicals.
Experience in manual handling
Health and safety awareness.
Computer literacy (Microsoft word & exel)
