Position Description:
Our company provides a range of Civil engineering construction services throughout the UK. With a turnover in excess of £240 million. They carry out projects from around £1m to £75m for a wide range of public and private sector customers.
Their involvement extends from feasibility through construction to maintenance, and ranges from individual projects through to long term framework agreements.
We have been asked to recruit a Project Manager for their site in the Northampton area.
The successful candidate will be required to:
· Contributing to the tender and pre qualification process
· Work within the company standards - Business Plan, HSQE, CSR, Procurement/Supply, Finance, HR etc
· Plan, programme, set up and run a project
· Deliver profitability that exceeds normal tender margins wherever possible
· Act as ambassador for the company with customers, suppliers, public, employees etc
· Develop and sustain good working relationships with customers, supply chain and employees that contribute to the success of the project and business
· Assesses risk and opportunity and act for the good of the company
· Represent the company on contractual issues if required
· Develops and support employees under their supervision
· Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the contract Produce & monitor resource programmes and costings
· Leads the planning process
· Is responsible for controlling and monitoring costs
