Position Description:
Principle Geotechnical Engineer – Leeds - £40 - £50K
One of the largest multi disciplined organisations within Leeds are actively seeking an experienced, successful and determined individual to lead both teams of people and projects within a growing geotechnical division.
This key individual will have the luxury of having a new team of people built around them to increase an already extensive coverage or work throughout the UK and Ireland.
This individual will have 6 to 10 years of experience with a consultancy based geotechnical team, having worked on both contaminated land and the remediation of contaminated land.
Chartership is not essential for this role, however, specific evidence of previous projects and experience will be necessary. Ideally this individual will have a Civil Engineering BSc and MSc in a geological area of study.
Due to the nature of the multi disciplined projects you will be involved in, client interface and communication skills are of great importance. You will be dealing with various teams of engineers within different fields and also liaising with contractors and clients on site.
Management qualities will also be an extra string to your bow and evidence of experience involving budget/financial control will be ideal.
