Position Description: HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER You should be… • Customer focused • Enthusiastic • Team worker • Innovation and change • Technically and commercially competent Essential skills • Time management • IT literate • Excellent verbal & written communication skills • Strong people management & Interpersonal skills • Clear understanding of CDM regs. & requirements • Technicaly competent in HS&E • Organisational skills • Ability to develop & present HSE training Job Requirements • Responsible for promoting safety awareness and compliance with Health and Safety legislation • Managing and policing safety and health issues on the company’s construction sites and offices. • Advising the company Directors on policy and changes in legislation regarding safety, health and environmental issues • Carrying out site inspections, safety reviews and construction site safety audits. • Accident investigation and reporting. Liaising with Insurers and legal representatives. • Compilation of accident statistics and review and action to reduce accidents. • Liaison with HSE and statutory bodies. • Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans, Fire Safety and Traffic Management Plans. • Preparation of pre tender safety information. • Member of site management teams regarding health and safety issues.
