Position Description:
Social Worker required for Criminal Justice Team. The contract is full time temporary for a period of 6 months initially and hours of work are 35 per week.
You will be required to use professional social work skills to develop and provide supervisory, preventative, rehabilitative and support services for offender related client groups. Undertaking the range of statutory requirements for which the Social Services Department is responsible in relation to the Courts, offenders and as defined by National Objectives and Standards.
Duties:
Supervise offenders and work with their families.
Make assessments of the services needed to assist offenders to lead law abiding lives.
Prepare Social Enquiry and other related reports
Participate and work as part of a team in planning the delivery of an effective service.
Contribute to multi-agency initiatives in the assessment and management of offender risk.
Experience:
Candidates must have a recognised professional qualification in Social Work (DipSW or equivalent) and must be registered with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) or GSCC.
All applicants will have an Enhanced Scottish Disclosure check carried out.
