Position Description:
Reporting to the Key Account Manager, the role will entail preparing estimates and completing pricing work in support of tender submissions, proposals for new business opportunities and existing contracts in accordance with the Company quality standards and procedures. In line with these procedures you will be expected to meet the required ‘Tender Date’ of each new enquiry and analyse and compile accurately priced and timely submissions.
Your key duties in the role will include:
-Assisting in defining specifications through accurate and timely estimates to provide better production, cover costs and better suitability to the customer and the company.
- Undertaking site visits in preparation of tenders when required.
- Contributing to the management of key accounts and divisional business planning and budgeting.
- Representing the company by dealing with Customers, Suppliers, Consultants and Stakeholders in a manner, which enhances the company’s reputation.
- Promoting excellence in Health and Safety through the estimating function.
The ideal candidate will have an established background in estimating and be used to dealing with tender values up to £5m. You will have the relevant technical qualifications and exemplary knowledge of current legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and industry trends, as well as knowledge of Health and Safety and CDM regulations. You will have a strong business acumen along with sound commercial judgment.
