Position Description:
Reporting directly to the Highways Area Manager, knowledge in concrete repair work and Highways is essential. The initial project, based in Tewkesbury, will involve supervision of repairs to highways structures. Applicants must be willing to travel to all areas covered by the Regional Office (Midlands).
The work is varied and challenging and will suit candidates who have the ability and desire to work independently, managing all aspects of the project.
Main Duties:
· Carry out pre contract site surveys
· Measurement of site works and Applications for payment
· Quality control and control of workmanship
· Ensure health and safety procedures and regulations are followed and enforced
· Monitor and enforce site safety through continuous training and induction
· Control of sub-contractors
· Client liaison
· Representing Company at meetings
· Maintenance of contract programme
· Compliance with Specification
· Ordering materials and plant
· Allocation of resources
· Cost control
· Man management
· Enforce disciplinary procedures in line with the company’s Employment Manual, where necessary
· Site administration and record keeping e.g. Site diaries, plant & labour returns, completion of Accident Book etc.
· Any other duties as reasonably required.

Our client is a specialist in the repair, rehabilitation and refurbishment of reinforced concrete structures and buildings who undertake projects in the role of main contractor and specialist sub-contractor. Due to continued success they now operate Nationwide with over 200 employees and have achieved a turnover in excess £24 million. As a result they have now opened a new Highway Division and are looking to recruit a Site Manager to work in this department.
