Position Description:
Our client is a well - established and expanding construction organisation, with an exceptional reputation for building and refurbishment for commercial, domestic and industrial clients.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director you will undertake all post - contract QS duties on projects up to £2.5m in value and will include close liaison with the in-house Contract and Site Managers and also the Client’s Professional Team.
Experience Required:
- Significant demonstrable experience within a similar role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self motivated and ability to work under pressure with limited supervision
- Strong MS Office skills including Microsoft Project
- Excellent Excel skills essential.
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Good knowledge of construction
- Thorough understanding of various forms of building contract
- Good measurement skills
- Team Player
Key responsibilities:
- Procurement of all sub-contract orders
- Preparation of Client and Sub-contract valuations, negotiation and settlement of accounts
- Maintain up to date accurate Cost Control & Cost Reconciliation reports
- Contract Correspondence
- Aim to ensure that all projects are completed on time and budget
- Occasionally assist the pre-contract team
