Our Client is a privately owned award winning Construction, Property Development and Consultancy Group with an annual turnover in excess of £260m. The business currently works in the Warehousing & Distribution, Retail, Offices, Food Processing and Healthcare sectors with individual projects ranging in value up to £40m. A good proportion of this work is carried out on a Design and Build basis.
Due to continued expansion they are looking to appoint an individual who will work closely with internal customers and suppliers to ensure they have a supply chain of the right shape, quality and competitiveness to meet company strategy and the specific requirements of its divisions business plans.
The focus will initially be on the Fit Out Division and the supply chain covering the Finishes and M&E trades utilised across divisions.
The individual will ideally have experience within the above area; have excellent people skills, commercial acumen and a real personal drive to improve the supply chain for their customers.
Key responsibilities are:
· To build strong relationships with internal customers
· To facilitate with internal customers an appropriate supply chain strategy for area
· Facilitate and chair across functional team meetings, supplier relationship development meetings and assessment visits ensuring agreed strategic aims are being met
· To put in place and manage a structured relationship development plan with strategic suppliers for their area
· Advise and support operational teams with tenders and project supplier requirements
· Utilise the supply chains expertise to provide value engineered solutions to tenders and projects where appropriate
