Linear Contact:	My client is a National Contractor who work with in a wide range of Construction disciplines, have been operating for over 70 years and traditionally work on projects up to £15m in value. With a solid growth strategy moving forward, the organisation is now looking to appoint a Marketing Manager. The role requires a person who is self-motivated and effective face to face. Whilst access to the Yorkshire office is needed, it is not necessary for the candidate to be in the office more than 1 or 2 days per week and therefore there is considerable flexibility in the home location.
Description A high degree of computer literacy for remote communication via laptop, use of the marketing database and Microsoft Office products. Candidates must have at least 3 years building contractor-marketing experience. It is important that candidates have a good understanding of how the construction business works in particular the roles and inter-relationships between the various organisations involved. Key Duties: 1 Identifying potentially profitable building opportunities through personal contacts, published information and inter-company liaison. 2 Promotion of the company’s capabilities to clients through face to face visits, telephone calls, letters, presentations, exhibitions, corporate events and joint visits with operations personnel where appropriate. 3 Maintaining records of activities and opportunities on the Marketing Database. 4 Contributing to the production of formal submissions through provision of key information regarding the client’s requirements. 5 Contributing to the formulation of strategic marketing plans through provision of detailed knowledge of their area.
