Linear Recruitment is working with a leading Civil Engineering contractor with an excellent reputation within the industry.



A temporary Works Design Engineer is required to join this growing Technical Services department to be responsible for:

· Preparation of temporary works designs for both tenders & contracts – Temporary structures including heavy false-works and propping, cofferdams, access platforms, and temporary bridges.

· Design and checking of formwork and false-work schemes.

· Design and checking of excavation supports of all kinds including dewatering.

· Checking/ development of construction methodologies from sites including demolition of old and erection of new structures of many kinds.

· Design of working platforms for tracked plant and safe support to crane outriggers.

· Provision of general technical support to contracts.



To be considered for this role you must be degree qualified or similar in Civil Engineering and have proven experience in Temporary Works Design. Those who are Chartered and MICE will be looked on very favourably.



Salary on offer for this role is between £25,000 and £50,000 per annum with company car / car allowance and pension available.
