Description

To manage the Production Team to ensure that production is maximised within the budgetary parameters at all times. Staff management and morale are key requirements of the position.

-To control all expenditure in line with the annual budget.
-Control and analyse unit cost.
-To ensure that each section of the production line is being optimised at all times.
-To demonstrate, upon request, an up to date snapshot of the volume of work required to be throughput by each Department and to forward plan to manage any likely shortfalls.
-Direct line management of production employees, affording the Production Co-ordinator the autonomy to manage independently.
-To ensure the control and accurate recording of all stock.
-To ensure the control and accurate recording of all wastage.
-To organise the production environment to ensure all employees are clear about their individual roles and responsibilities and expected output.
-To improve production systems and processes as required.
-To ensure that the Production Area complies with all health and safety regulations, and that all team members adhere to company health and safety policy.
-To hold regular Production Meetings in order to ensure that the Team are aware of back order and error levels.
-To ensure that during annual breaks the Production Supervisor is well briefed beforehand in order to take responsibility of the daily smooth running of the Production Area.
-Ensure high standards of conduct, appearance and behaviour are met at all times.
-Communicate effectively with all members of staff, colleagues and Directors.
