A large law firm has an exiting opportunity for an Investment Administration Assistant.

The role will be to provide administration support to the Asset Management Team taking responsibility for the maintenance of documentation and recordkeeping in line with the FSA requirements.

Specific Responsibilities include processing of investment transactions through computerised Investment Management Systems, arranging the delivery of securities and ensuring safe custody of clients' assets, corporate event control and processing, and ensuring all key administrative tasks are carried out to set standards.

Essentially you will have experience of having worked in a similar administrative role having stock market settlement, closing and reconciliation experience. Having worked in an open ended investment company and having experience of investment administration within an OEIC or Unit Trust environment would be an advantage.

Additionally applicants should enjoy working as part of a team as well as being able to work to their own initiative. The role will involve liaising with a range of people on a frequent basis in a professional manner and therefore applicants should also possess good interpersonal and organisational skills and an understanding of internal client care.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate strong IT ability and confidence in using a range of computer packages, including the full suite of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Pulse software would be an advantage.

Applicants should have a strong education with a minimum of 4 GCSE's including English and Maths and ideally NVQ level 1 or equivalent.
