Position Description:
An experienced civil/structural engineer is required for a major engineering company based in Leeds.
You will have previously worked within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries and will have been employed alongside a Petrochemical Contractor or an Engineering Consultant. You will have experience of the design of reinforced concrete foundations to support plant equipment, steel structures, piperacks and buildings. Knowledge of dynamic analysis of foundations supporting vibration machines is essential.
You will also have knowledge of basic infrastructure including roads and drainage, structural steelwork for piperacks and support structures, towers and portal framed buildings and the design of blast-resistant control buildings and sub-stations. A working knowledge of design packages such as STAADPRO is essential.
In addition, you need to be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, having dealt with project managers, senior management and other staff. The ability to work under pressure and a keen attention to detail is also essential.
