Our client is seeking to recruit a Project Administrator for the Building Schools for the Future programme in Sheffield.

They have recently reached Financial Close for the first four sample schools to be delivered to Sheffield City Council and a further nineteen secondary schools are planned to be developed and delivered over the ten year lifespan of the exclusive partnership (LEP) that Sheffield has entered in to with our client and its partner who form the a Consortium. The new schools projects will be delivered mainly under D & B contracts, but further PFI funded schemes are also envisaged. The programme of work is planned to deliver circa £350m over 10 years, with the initial schools costing circa £80m.

Sheffield City Council and the consortium have established a Local Education Partnership (LEP) and one of the LEP’s key activities is to oversee the development of future waves of the work to ensure successful delivery of agreed projects once handed over to site delivery teams.

Based in a central Sheffield Office and reporting to the New Project Development Director, the Project Administrator will take responsibility for the successful organisation of the core team office and all elements of document control associated with future schemes. The role IS NOT that of an office secretary.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of :
- proactively establishing strong working relationships with a varied range of people.
- Efficient administrative ability within an office environment and being able to act on own initiative to do so.
- Experience of document control within a multi discipline environment ideally utilising an electronic management system
- working collaboratively
- a flexible attitude
- IT literate and willingness to learn new applications
