QUALIFICATIONS

5 GCSEs including Maths and English,
Building or Housing related to HND/ Degree level.

EXPERIENCE

Housing Association Development experience of at least three years.
Similar experience with other contractor.
Promotion or marketing experience.

DESIRABLE

Qualifications - Marketing or promotion.
Experience - Development Manager or above in RSL, Partnership Manager with Constructor.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:-

Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Excellent written and communication skills.
An intermediate level of I.T. skills particularly in Word and Excel.
An intermediate level of skill in PowerPoint and Desktop Publishing advantageous.
The ability to produce neat and accurate work at all times.
Imagination and flair to contribute new ideas and challenge the ‘norm’.
Ability to manage change in a fast changing environment with a positive attitude.
Flexible.

GENERAL DUTIES

To identify and create new development opportunities within the operational area.
To develop the existing Housing Association and Local Authority client base and to create new business development opportunities.
To maximise new business with our existing and new clients.
To expand our refurbishment and planned maintenance market.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

To source and appraise business development opportunities within the Housing Association and Local Authority sector.
To target the identified development strategies of our existing and new Housing Association sector clients.
To promote and secure partnering arrangements and framework agreements with social housing providers.
To be involved in a team to bring agreed development proposals to building contract stage.
To provide customer support on existing development projects.
To contribute to internal strategy in responding to customer and client requirements.
To develop targeted Housing Association bid project in conjunction with the Local Authority and Housing Associations’ agreed strategies.
To investigate specific business opportunities with existing or new public sector clients to include: refurbishment, planned maintenance, health sector accommodation, temporary social housing, market renting, joint venture projects and partnering initiatives.
To profile the Company within the social housing sector, including marketing, brand, product and service awareness to existing and potential customers.
To compile bid documents for regeneration and development projects including presentation and interviews to potential customers to secure new business.
To be part of the Company Management Team to ensure that the Company’s Vision and agreed business objectives are met.
To liaise with other departments within the Company, to ensure projects and programmes are commercially viable and brought to contract stage to meet our own Business Plan targets.
To report to the Development Director on strategic and operational issues.
