The North West Regional office of Linear Recruitment had a very busy 2020, being fortunate enough to support some high profile projects throughout the region.

These have included working with some of our long standing clients such as Create Construction on their Discovery Quay Student Accommodation Project. With a value of £24.5million, this consisted of 404 student bedrooms over 2 blocks, a coffee shop, library, lounge, media wall, gaming area and a double-story reception. We were delighted to have supported by supplying Site Managers, Hoist Operators, Labour, Banksmen, Telehandler Drivers, Joiners, and multiskilled Operatives.

Will Prew, Business Unit Director of Create Construction gave us some really positive feedback on our services;
“After what has been a challenging year for all, we are pleased to be part of one of the summer success stories with the successful completion of Discovery Quay student accommodation for Bricks Capital. The Project Delivery Team headed by Andy King, and collaboration with our supply chain, of which Linear Recruitment is one of our key and trusted partners, means the end product speaks volumes for the commitment shown by all. We can only thank Caroline and her dedicated team for the strength in their support.”

Another project we are thrilled to have been part of was Vistry Construction's “The Approach” in Edge Lane in Liverpool. This consisted of 107 apartments and 38 houses and had a project value of £20 million. We have been working with this project since 2018, supplying Telehandler Drivers, Labour and Engineering support.

As well as strengthening our relationships with existing clients, we have also had a number of new clients come on board. One such new client is GK Construction & Project Management and we've supplied them with Joiners and Labourers on a number of their projects including Cheshire Fire and Rescue housing refurbishment schemes and Colwyn Bay Police Headquarters, with a combined value of half a million pounds.

'On We Grow', says Kevin Turnbull, G K Construction & Project Management's Operations Director. 'It's been a busy year for us, especially during these strange times, keeping our key workers moving with contracts completed for Cheshire Fire & Rescue and North Wales Police, as well as our assisted living projects, nicely helped along when needed by Caroline and the team at Linear. We are looking forward to 2021!'

Another new Client is Pelli Property. We've worked closely with the owner David Whyte to find a new Quantity Surveyor for his rapidly growing team working within the commercial, residential and heritage marketplace.
'It has been a busy year at Pelli Property, where we have seen our clients come through the pandemic to be busier than ever in all our specialist sectors including residential, commercial and heritage projects.' said David. 'We were therefore looking to increase our team with addition of another surveyor and having met Caroline at an industry event, chose to work with Linear on this important role. They listened to our individual requirements and understood the need for culture fit into our team and successfully found our new team member. We are looking forward to a prosperous 2021 and being able to work with Linear again'.
