What is a Senior Quantity Surveyor?

Senior Quantity Surveyors manage the finances and logistics of a construction project, determining the client’s needs and/or providing commercial support to the project team, from valuing contracts and costing materials to labour required. A quantity surveyor will create a budget and schedule for the construction project and ensure it stays on track, whilst remaining compliant with contractual requirements.  Operating at a more senior level, senior quantity surveyors will often have a more active role in managing both internal and external relationships, and supporting more junior staff.
