Skills People Group is an organisation who is helping local people in the Manchester area get a foot on the construction ladder and hopefully begin a long and successful career. Their courses are free to anyone with a Greater Manchester postcode

Michael Ryan met Jayden at the Skills People Group event he attended at the end of October and straight away got the impression that he was a hard worker. Ever since that day he has been ultra-persistent in his pursuit of employment within the construction industry.

Jayden is an absolute credit to Skills People Group; his attitude and endeavor to progress and get a foot on the construction ladder is commendable. Michael and Jayden have been in constant contact from the day they met; Jayden sometimes called 2-3 times a day as he was so determined to get help and support.

This made us determined to land him a role that he could be proud of and give him the sustainability that he truly deserves.

Jayden started his new role last week and although we all know it's early days the feedback from the Site Manager has been nothing short of fantastic. Hard working, reliable, eager to learn and polite.

Jayden is the first example of our partnership with Skills People Group coming to fruition and we hope it's the first of many - there's so many local people just looking for that first opportunity to show what they can do.

The courses are free to anyone with a greater Manchester postcode and our task is now finding these construction-hungry learners a role in the industry.
