At Linear we understand the importance of social responsibility and the role that we can play in adding social value, and we're looking at ways that we can give back - to our employees, our candidates and clients and our community.

One of the aspects of this that we're looking forward to getting involved in is a range of volunteering days within our communities, helping some of our offices' local charities out where we can.

We've got four volunteering days set up over the next few months, with over 20 of our team involved, which is brilliant.

We'll be volunteering with:

  • S6 Foodbank, Sheffield, 14th August
The S6 Foodbank work to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities and across the UK, as part of The Trussell Trust's network of 428 foodbanks

  • RSPCA Manchester & Salford, 24th September
Together with their local community, they work to improve the lives of the animals who come into their care

  • Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, Sheffield, 13th November
This sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in the South Yorkshire region

  • The People's Kitchen, Newcastle, 16th October
The People's Kitchen make life on the streets a little easier by sharing hot meals and packages of clothing, toiletries, food, mobile phones and sleeping bags. They work with services to enable people to move off the streets and then they provide food, furniture and bedding to their Friends when they move into their first home. They also offer friendship and professional services to improve mental wellbeing.

We're really looking forward to offering our time and help to these great charities. We'll share more details of the days too.
